Plain-language terms for an educational financial analysis tool. Read them alongside the privacy policy, the acceptable use policy and the financial disclaimer.

Applies to: the FinBizDoc web application and every page on this site.
1. Definitions
- “Service” — the FinBizDoc web application, its calculators, document analysis workflow, reports and this website.
- “You” — the person using the Service, whether signed in or not.
- “Your Content” — documents you upload, values you type into calculators, corrections you confirm during review, notes and saved scenarios.
- “Derived Data” — structured transactions, categories, calculated snapshots, ratios, readiness assessments, comparisons and reports produced from Your Content.
- “Deterministic Engine” — the versioned, auditable TypeScript functions that compute every authoritative figure the Service shows.
- “AI Layer” — the language model used only to read documents into a draft structure and to explain figures already computed by the Deterministic Engine.
2. What the Service is — and is not
FinBizDoc is an educational financial analysis tool. It parses documents you upload, asks you to confirm what was extracted, runs deterministic calculations and explains the results in plain language.
It is not a lender, broker, credit bureau, payment provider, investment adviser, tax adviser, insurance intermediary, auditor or accounting service. It does not connect to your bank, initiate payments or share anything with lenders. It is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or commissioned by any bank, NBFC or payment company.
3. Educational output only
Every output — cash-flow analysis, ratios, EMI and SIP figures, financing readiness, comparisons and any generated report — is an educational estimate based on the information and assumptions you provide. Outputs are not loan offers, credit approvals, underwriting decisions, audited or certified financial statements, tax filings, or personalised financial advice. Consult a qualified professional before acting. See the financial disclaimer.
4. The mandatory review step
Document extraction is assistive and can be wrong. The Service therefore requires you to review and confirm extracted data before any calculation is treated as meaningful. The AI Layer cannot skip, pre-approve or auto-confirm that step, and it never produces authoritative numbers itself. Once you confirm a value, that value is treated as your input and you are responsible for its accuracy.
5. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into these terms.
- One account per person. Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
- Sign-in is by email or Google. We never ask for internet-banking credentials, PINs, OTPs or card numbers — any page or message that does is not ours.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
6. Your responsibilities for uploads
- Upload only documents you own or are clearly entitled to upload and process.
- If a document contains another person's personal data, you confirm you have a lawful basis to share it for this purpose.
- Do not upload malware, encrypted archives, or files designed to exploit parsers.
- Do not upload data you are contractually or legally barred from processing off-premises.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service unlawfully, to infringe rights, to attack or overload the infrastructure, to scrape it at scale, to circumvent rate limits or authentication, to reverse engineer secrets, or to attempt extraction of system prompts, other users' records or platform credentials. Prompt-injection content embedded in uploaded documents is treated as data, never as instructions. Full detail: acceptable use policy.
8. Availability, limits and changes to features
Fair-use limits apply — file size, page count, concurrent jobs and AI analyses per hour — and may change without notice. The Service may be unavailable during maintenance, or degraded when an upstream provider fails. Features may be added, changed or withdrawn. No uptime guarantee is offered.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, its design system, formula library documentation and the Deterministic Engine remain ours. You keep all rights in Your Content. You grant us a limited licence to store, parse, mask, compute on and display Your Content solely to operate the Service for you. Reports you generate are yours to use and share.
10. Third-party providers
Hosting, database, authentication and file storage are provided by our application platform; AI extraction and explanation are performed by our model provider on masked, minimised input. Their availability and terms affect the Service. See the subprocessors page.
11. Fees
The Service is currently free to use and takes no payment details. If paid plans are introduced, pricing and billing terms will be presented before any charge, and existing data handling commitments will continue to apply.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your data at any time from privacy settings. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, for abuse of the infrastructure, or where required by law. On termination, your documents and Derived Data are deleted; audit metadata that records what was deleted and when may be retained.
13. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Decisions you take on the basis of its output are your own. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, lost profits, lost data, or losses arising from reliance on educational estimates, extraction errors you confirmed, or third-party provider failures.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from Your Content, from uploading data you were not entitled to process, or from your breach of these terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction, without limiting any non-waivable consumer rights you have where you live.
16. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. Material changes are surfaced in the product and reflected in the “last updated” date above. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the revised terms.
